You Named The Dog Indiana?
Indiana Jones Party Ideas:
She always wanted an Indiana Jones Birthday Party and I am here to deliver!
This year’s birthday was all Adventure with an Indiana Jones theme. We did statues, cobwebs, the Cup of Christ, spiders… you get the idea. Summer hasn’t even hit yet, I feel like I’m running by the seat of my pants with outings! We went to the coast the next day, so we didn’t do as elaborate decorations as last year.
If you know anything about Indiana Jones you’d know that it takes place when Nazi Germany was expanding power. In films such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones competes against Nazi agents who are seeking artifacts of legendary or supernatural power.
Now, if I had another level of energy (and time) I would have done the whole Temple of Doom theme; with eye ball soup, chilled monkey brains, beetles and complete with a sari (Indian dress). Oh. What. Fun. That. Would. Be. I’d have to serve real Indian food though! We will see what she’s into next year. By the looks of her room, the Adventure bug isn’t going anywhere! I even got this adorable hoodie for my budding archeologist!
For the enormous backdrop, her sweet Dad previously had designed an image of Indiana Jones and had it professionally printed/mounted as one of her Christmas gifts. The company we used for printing, Pictorem did an amazing job! The current pic I used spiderwebs to set the mood… currently, staying on for effect as requested.
We went rummaging, (do they say that anymore?) Antiquing… is that better? We hit some places I won’t mention and found old newspapers from the 1940s. It was a perfect buy for her party.

Now, with the new Michael Jackson movie out, MJ has stolen her heart with his fresh “hee-hee” smooth, chill vibes. (Be careful, darlin- that’s how they get ya, lol) Indiana Jones has been knocked down the charts to number two and is finding himself competing once again. It’s been years of a love affair with Indy, so it’s up for debate what next year’s theme will be. Maybe after a go-around at Disneyland again MJ will take a temporary backseat? Because Indiana Jones Adventure, we are coming for you! (It was closed last time.) The question remains. But I do have some ideas for MJ brewing! Stay tuned!
